In the Municipality of Sterpce, on 6th of October, was held the salon with the topic “Increased participation for good governance”, for which guest speakers to instigate discussion were officials from the Municipality of Sterpce, as well as municipal councilors.
The guest speakers talked more about the work done by the Municipality until now, completed projects and those that are planned to be implemented in the future. After opening the discussion, the participants of the salon showed interest to talk about employment and the role of the municipality to fix this issue for its citizens. Municipal officials emphasized that the municipality is doing its best to fix this issue, by cooperating with various donors to secure financial support for entrepreneurs that want to open new businesses. Topics of discussion were also the creation of conditions for foreign investors, as well as increase of subventions for agriculture by the municipality.
This salon was organized by the partner organization CDKD within the framework of “Increased participation for good governance” project, implemented by Democracy for Development institute (D4D) with financial support by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
